Monsegur is an ancient bastide town in the Bordeaux wine growing region of Entre Deux Mers. The town is centred around a square and covered market place which hosts a weekly market every Friday morning and many other events throughout the year. These include summer night markets, an annual jazz festival and antique fairs/flea markets. The town has several restaurants and cafes, to suit all pockets and a comprehensive range of shops. There are medical facilities, schools and a library, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a cinema which shows English language films regularly.
