  • Established gardens of over 1000m2
  • Opportunity to configure as you want.

The new owner of this partially restored barn will have a great opportunity to develop the interior space into any configuration to suit their needs. The barn sits within a gently sloping, established garden and has wonderful views. Major work to the roof and floor has already been carried out and water and electricity are on site.

Purchased in 2007, the barn was in a dilapidated state. A lot of money has been spent demolishing one whole section and re-building the remainder. Planning permission was granted in 2008 to rebuild the demolished building. Obviously, that has lapsed now, but a precedent has been established. All measurements and drawings are available. Extra land was purchased in 2010 to create a wonderful garden comprising extensive lawns, apple trees, shrubs, a terrace, garden shed and roses.

Water was connected in 2007 and there is a tap on the outside of the building. The electricity supply was installed too and is ready to re-connect. Inside there was a very low ceiling, cow mangers and a dirt floor. All floors were removed and deep concrete laid. The roof and ceiling are new and are wonderfully constructed. The building is currently an empty shell and there is plenty of space for a first floor as well as the potential to extend, STC.

There is parking to the side where a caravan could be placed while the renovation work is carried out.

The hamlet has few houses and few inhabitants, but it is only minutes away from the village and the main road. In the village there is a post office, infant school, restaurant and church. There are also tennis and boules courts. A green cycle, walking and running route passes through the village. Toulouse international airport can be reached in just under 1.5 hours and buses, trains and taxis are all within easy reach. The very pretty village of La Bastide de Sérou is 19 minutes drive away and you can reach Foix and St Girons in 25 minutes
