The property is set back from a quiet country lane which leads to the town and so is not overlooked, but at the same time is not isolated.

Le Faouet is a pretty provincial comminuity with doctors, dentist, chemists, supermarkets, indoor swimming pool and gym and many restaurants. infant schools and a college. In the centre of town is a 16th century stone building which is used for the market on Wednesdays. The cottage is also convenient for the popular Breton towns of Quimperlé, Concarneau and Lorient and is less than an hour from the south Brittany coastline overlooking the Bay of Morbihan.
