Historic town house in the middle of the main square of a picturesque market town. It overlooks the square and the church. The style is typical Auvergnian with high roofs for the snow to slip off. ABOUT THE AREA

Pleaux is one of the most remote towns in France, the nearest motorway being 1 hour 20 minutes in any direction. It lies at 700m above sea level and is 15 minutes from the high Dordogne river. The town has 2 supermarket three bakeries a DIY Shop and a butcher amongst other shops and a few restaurants bars. The views to the surrounding countryside and snow topped mountains are amazing. The town is built in original local stone and the many turreted buildings around the town are called Chateaux. The approaching countryside is very green and forested and full of gorges given the amount of rivers.
