We are located in SW France; specifically the northern Dordogne - the "Perigord Vert", within "Parc Naturel regional Perigord-Limousin". Our hamlet "Lapouge" is part of the commune of Saint Estephe, which is famous for its superb leisure lake and beach. The Saint Estephe cafe-bar, boulangerie and post office can be accessed by a 10 minute walk through the woods from the house. The international airport in Limoges is a one-hour drive. Supermarket shopping is fifteen minutes away in Nontron. Local, English-speaking GP medical care is available 10 minutes away in the market town of Piegut Pluviers. Excellent public specialist medical services, hospitals etc, also largely English speaking, are a 40-minute drive to Soyaux or Angouleme.
