The local area is part of the wider Eure Haute Normandy (dept 27) and is close to the attractive beaches of the fashionable Normandy coast. Rural in character but also attractive to many tourists in the Summer who are drawn by the fantastic beaches. The area is noted for an abundance of fresh farm produce and fish. It is dotted with many authentic Normandy towns and small villages, yet also boasts fashionable Deauville, (the Cannes of the North). Nearby Honfleur is the cradle of impressionism. A truly diverse region with a wealth of cultural heritage, it is easily accessed by ferries (Le Havre/Caen and Dieppe) and the A13 which accesses Paris. SNCF trains are available from Lisieiux and Bernay.
