Our property is a free-standing, spacious and bright town house surrounded by a secluded well- established garden, on a quiet street in a sought-after residential neighbourhood of Ceret.

It is currently divided into 2 independent flats with central heating, a convertible attic and good fitted storage space throughout. Electricity, gas and plumbing all meet the required norms. It retains the original doors, windows, wooden shutters and floor tiling.

The ground floor flat leads onto a shady terrace and garden. It has 2 bedrooms, a front room, a separate equipped kitchen, Italian style shower and separate WC. We currently rent out this flat in the Summer season to cover our yearly running costs. We occupy the first floor which has 2 bedrooms, a dining/living room leading on to a loggia/balcony with mountain views, a large airy bathroom/WC and an independent equipped kitchen.

The town centre with its numerous cafes, restaurants, shops and all amenities is only 200m away. The local swimming pool and tennis courts as well as a fair-sized supermarket with petrol station are close by.

ABOUT THE AREA

The picturesque town of Ceret is situated in the most southern part of France just across the border from Spain and the Costa Brava. It gained fame through Picasso and fellow artists who sought its exceptional quality of light. This artistic tradition is maintained through many galleries and museums. The town offers numerous opportunities for cultural and leisure activities. Its Saturday market set in the shade of century old plane trees is the most animated of the region. The spa town Amelie, the sandy beaches of Argelès, Collioure and the beautiful rocky coast are all only a short drive away.
